Cards' #1 prospect injured

In last nights Triple-A Memphis Redbirds game, the parent St. Louis Cardinals' number one prospect, Colby Rasmus, was injured during a plate appearance. He had just returned to action from the DL regarding another injury.

In the first inning of the Redbirds' home/series opener against the Portland Sea Dogs. The centerfielder, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeal, went straight down after attempting a check swing, then had a noticeable degree of difficulty walking back to the dugout after striking out.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported later that Rasmus had sustained a knee injury, and will have an MRI some time today.
