Mulder goes on DL, Garcia activated

Mark Mulder has been placed on the 15-day DL due to a left shoulder injury.

The Cardinals activated lefthander Jaime Garcia from Triple-A Memphis. Garcia was in uniform and at Citizens Bank Park. Late in today's game, he began warming in the bullpen. Tony La Russa, however, did not use him this time.
