Cards clubhouse blog: Kinney's comeback highlights losing effort

Cards clubhouse blog: Kinney's comeback highlights losing effort: "The Cardinals lost to Chicago 4-3 on Wednesday, the latest blow to their playoff hopes for this season. But for one Cardinal, the night was a success.
Reliever Josh Kinney, a former Frontier League pitcher, threw a scoreless seventh inning in his first regular-season game since Oct. 1, 2006. Kinney needed just six pitches to dispose of Aramis Ramirez, Geovany Soto and Kosuke Fukudome."

... David Wilhelm of the Belleview News-Democrat present a transcription of Josh Kinney's statement after yesterday's game.

It's good to see a writer hit upon Kinney's comeback in some detail. Kinney could have more impact on the Cardinals current and long-term destiny than people are yet realizing. Wilhelm seems to have spotted the significance.
