Classic baseball song celebrates 100th anniversary | ScrippsNews

Classic baseball song celebrates 100th anniversary ScrippsNews: "It’s the 100th anniversary for “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” Jack Norworth wrote the song and reportedly more than 2,500 songs in a long career, including 'Shine On, Harvest Moon.” Obviously none were as famous or popular as his baseball ditty.

There were baseball songs written long before Noroworth’s. Most agree the first known baseball song was “The Base Ball Polka” penned in 1858. However, Katie Casey’s song rose above them all."
