STLtoday - Lead, game slip away

STLtoday - Lead, game slip away: "Several hours after Pittsburgh pounced on a winded and sluggish Wainwright for a four-run inning that erased the Cardinals' early lead, outfielder Brandon Moss finished off the comeback with a game-winning double in the 12th. Moss' two-out, full-count drive to the right-center gap scored Adam LaRoche for a 7-6 victory Saturday.

That there was a score to be untied, let alone a 12th inning to do it, traced back to the fifth inning, when Wainwright couldn't catch his breath and didn't get an out."

... By now, everyone has figured out that Wainwright was gassed in the fifth. So why didn't anyone do anything about it?
