STLtoday - Lumber's slumber is costly yet again

STLtoday - Lumber's slumber is costly yet again: "The not-so-good news: Three of those hits left the park in a hurry against Redbirds starting pitcher Todd Wellemeyer.

Worst of all, the Cardinals once again didn't see the bottom of the ninth inning in a 3-0 loss played out before a gathering of 14,850 and their canines."

... All we can say is we need some offense. There isn't a whole lot of analysis in that. Wellemeyer could easily have won with a few runs scored. Even after giving up three dingers in four batters.

You can't win if you don't score.
