Pujols or Howard?
4thebirds...
... As the MVP gets down to the nitty-gritty, fans of the award and/or the two NL players most likely to have a shot at wining it in their respective league--Albert Pujols and Ryan Howard--are getting anxious for "...the envelope, please."
By sometime on Monday, we should know.
A moment of elation for some fans, and plenty of hard feelings by other.
The award does provide a nice distraction from the ongoing Hot Stove discussion, which these days, seems to bring as much stress to fans as losing an extra inning ballgame on a walk-off home run.
But it's the measurement that brings the most ire.

STLtoday - Pujols or Howard: It's a hard race to call: "Does a player often described as his league's most dominant hitter win this year's award for leading in several significant categories for an overachieving but ultimately fourth-place team?
Or does the honor go to a lefthanded slugger who led the league in home runs and RBIs by a wide margin and helped push his team to a division title while striking out a whisk shy of 200 times?"
