Blog-by congrats to Cards

Wedged a moment in edgewise from educational hiatus in order to congratulate the St. Louis Cardinals on their NL Central Division title.

As of this entry, the Cubs' Tragic Number is down to one in the Wild Card race.

No playoff matches have been set. My pick for potentially most dangerous playoff foe (for any team, actually) is the San Francisco Giants, based on their awesome rotation. With playoff series all basically short, those hurlers could do a team in doublequick.

I do, however, have every confidence that the Cardinals rotation is just as talented.
