HItters shouldn't gripe too much about grip aids

Recently, Indians closer and former Cardinals reliever, Chris Perez, eluded to Cards pitchers (specifically the vets) using substances to better grip the baseball.

Nothing illegally, that anyone knows of, was used.

And ... so what?

Most, if not all, pitchers, attempt to grip the ball better.

And I wouldn't think hitters would gripe too much about a pitcher better gripping the baseball when hurling at 90-100 m.p/h.

Kinda nice to know that blazing fastball is less likely to slip out of the fingers when a hitter is digging in, one would think.
