Cards farm system key to season, starting with opening day

Is it out on a limb to say the Cardinals will rely upon their outstanding farm system once more this season?

Hardly, but most of the majors these days cry the same refrain: "Bring 'em up, so-and-so's hurt."

It's getting to the point for the Cards that some of the infield is becoming interchangeable. Well, not totally, but one has to admit that of any major league club, the Cardinals have to feel more confident in their Memphis Train than most outfits with their triple-A exchanges.

Supposedly, Ryan Jackson gets the nod if Freese cannot make it off the DL in time for opening day in Arizona.
