Homestand Highlights -- August 15, 2015

Gates open at 4:15 p.m. 

  • Cardinals 2015 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Edward Jones: During a 2 p.m. ceremony in FOX Sports Midwest Live! at Ballpark Village, Ted Simmons, Bob Forsch, Curt Flood and George Kissell will be inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame. The event is free and open to the public. The inductees will also be recognized in a pregame ceremony on field at Busch (#CardsHOF).

  • 2015 Cardinals Hall of Fame Inductees Plaque: 25,000 ticketed-fans, ages 16 and older, receive this collectible plaque highlighting the induction of Ted Simmons, Bob Forsch, Curt Flood and George Kissell into the Cardinals Hall of Fame, courtesy of Edward Jones (#CardsPromo).

  • Heart and Hustle Award Presentation: In a ceremony prior to the game, Matt Carpenter will receive the Cardinals’ 2015 Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association’s (MLBPAA) Heart and Hustle Award for best demonstrating a passion for the game of baseball and the values, spirit and traditions of the game. This is Carpenter’s third consecutive nomination. As the season draws to a close, fans, all Alumni and active players will vote to select the final winner from the 30 team winners.

  • Pregame Pom, Cheer and Dance Performance: Prior to the game, groups from DK Dance Productions, Merrilee Dance Company, OTHS Golden Girls, Bordeau Dance Studio, Windsor Dance Team, North County Raiderettes, and Althoff Catholic High School Dance will perform in Ford Plaza.                                    
  • MLBPAA Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will conduct a baseball-themed silent auction inside Gate 1, Gate 3, UMB Champions Club and the Cardinals Club from the time gates open through the fifth inning. All proceeds will benefit Cardinals Care and the Players Alumni Association, a non-profit group that strives to preserve the game of baseball while supporting a variety of charities.

  • Redbird Rookies Practice with Carpenter & Lynn: Lucky members of the Redbird Rookies team (age 5-7 division) who hit a home run in the Redbird Rookies Readers program will get to practice on the field with Matt Carpenter and Lance Lynn prior to the game.

  • Live Music at Cardinals Nation: There will be free live music from Borderline in the Hall of Fame Club (2nd floor of the Cardinals Nation Restaurant) following the game.
