MLB CS plays two Saturday

NEW YORK--CITI FIELD--While the ALCS plays out its second series game Saturday afternoon, the Chicago Cubs will be warming up for the NLCS Game 1 after a well-earned break to face the New York Mets in the NLCS.

Chicago will go with Jon Lester (11-12, 3.34), manager Joe Maddon opting to give ace Jake Arrieta one more day's rest.

New York manager Terry Collins gives Matt Harvey (13-8, 2.71) the nod.

In an earlier DMTV News post, the point was made regarding the MLB best road record (48 now) for the Cubs as a factor in postseason play, where the Cubs will never enjoy home field advantage no matter how far they go. Now, winning their last 11 out of 12 road games, the Cubs seem have the best odds of any team playing for a win on the road.

TBS carries the NLCS with an advertised on-air time of 7:30 p.m. ET.

The ALCS Game #2 plays at 3:30 p.m. ET at Kaufmann Stadium, the Kansas City Royals, now up 1-0 in the series after a 5-0 shutout Friday night, going with David Price (18-2, 2.45) as their starting pitcher and the Toronto Blue Jays sending Yordano Ventura (13-8, 4.08) to the hill.
